Sounds fun to me..I have played on quite a few Zombie Survival Modules, but they get boring quickly as there is generally no way to advance. I'm in for a horror module.

As to the pacman thing, kind of, but its not the easiest to see. Though having spent many hours of my youth playing Atari 2600 with the game Pacman and Ms. Pacman, I have to say, yes, I can see a pacman.
Other post to come in a bit.

Well rar, my views on some of the things. Also I prefer NWN1.
Pre-Made
Playing someone else’s creation, can be a lot easier than working on one yourself. Though in my own experience, I always dislike parts of the module that are too set in stone and may ruin the overall event. Though to each their own.
Pros: Can be unique, Less work Cons: Tend not really support more than 1-2 sessions, Can have unfixable bugs Oni: Rather not play a pre-made off the Vault or something.
Fenmyr
Going back to Fenmyr, for me, would be a little bittersweet. I really enjoy the setting, perhaps I am a bit bias on this, but some of the things that have occurred have caused it to go a bit awry. Not to mention the lack of interest the last 6 months of its run didn’t really cause it to look to be overly popular though that may have stemmed from various reasons.
So…
Pros: “Familiar” setting, Still more freedom than a FR module, Okay (?) Storyline, Mod/Player Vault likely still in good shape Cons: Last 6 Months of Run was less than active, No real set canon, Will require work on storyline/module-wise/player participation Oni: Can do it, but would be a bit of work obviously. Would it be worth it? Hard to say.
Moonsea
Ah memories, of the days of yore, borne forth from the bitter fruit called Haven. The continuation of the struggles of the people of the once growing village of Haven, after the invasion of outside forces referred to as the Fenmyrians, later more specifically the Arbonians. During such times the once-mercenary based guild, the Crimson Phoenix, grew to become a powerful presence in the Moonsea region – becoming strong enough to even pose a threat to the denizens of the various Zhentarim controlled cities. Eventually the module end prematurely, storyline-wise, due to various server issues and general lack of interest that were encountered at the time. Information used in the history of Fenmyr’s timeline, could/can be found on the forums – these were as far as we “continued” the events of module. So really a lot might have to be figured out/revised.
Pros: Familiar setting (at least for some), FR based module, Mod should be around somewhere – which is bigger/has spawns/systems/etc. Cons: Storyline (What we had?) is likely dead, Player Vault maybe gone (Could be a good thing), Deciding how to continue, Likely server issues Oni: I’m mixed on this one. Could be quite fun, though could be a trip down shitty memory lane. Might want to play Ein, though may be unfair depending what occurs.
New Module
Upside could be anything we wish. Downside is development work – both “written” and toolset. Pros: Chance to be creative, Original tends to feel more personal Cons: A lot of work possibly Oni: I like new modules, rar.
Possible new module ideas:
#1 - A module set in a darker world, similar to Ravenloft setting, that would be more supernatural in ways. A village living in constant fear of the darkness that dwells outside its village - this fear draws in outsiders who come to help or prey on this weakness. Could be FR, Fenmyr, or whatever.
#2 - A rare resource is discovered under the village belonging to the Lord Eric Isman, former knight-captain of the Order of the Desert Rose. Being in poor health and no known living heirs, Lord Isman grants regency to the captain of his village guard, a stout and hardnosed Dwarven called Ketihl Clovenshield, until the time of an heir, of age, turns up or the Dwarf does not wish it any longer. The death of Lord Isman is a solemn occasion in the village that he called home since retirement from the knight order, but with it brings the attention of outsiders. Two nations in particular are eager to control the resources under this village, but they are kept at bay by one another from simply annexing or conquering these people without heavy repercussions, including full pledge war. However, they are not above attempting to turn the people of the village toward their cause by various means – including pressure upon Clovenshield. As if this was not enough for the new Regent, various strange occurrences have begun to happen in the regency such as a destructive series of diseases taking a toll upon the population and livestock and the emergence of creatures and monsters that cause the need for adventures, sell-swords, and the likes.
Players could be natives of the village who have taken up arms to defend their homeland, could be like the last sentence suggests, also could be of one of the nations attempting to earn points with the village while working from the inside to turn it toward their nation….or such.
Just a shot in the dark. Could be anywhere, even in the Dales of FR or somewhere original. Names and such can also be changed. But rar….
Likely can think of more in time....tired atm.

My Opinions! Pre-mades can be fun.. I remember once when my server was down for a week or two, a bunch of us used the OC and just.. didn't really go with the story, messed around with it. Kinda reminscent of a adventurer party all working together all the time and so on. The problem is it's generally fairly linear and not much room for development. My favouring of this would depend on which premade we picked. Fenmyr is prettyful <3. The only personal problem for me with this is timezone.. since it was practically empty mine.. it did die because we couldn't attract new people, but that can happen anywhere, too. It's a vicious cycle. People have less time, around less, less people means less to do, less to do is less intrest which means people are around less.. so on. Could work, but would need work and.. so on. Rawr. Moonsea..I have no opinion on.. because i'm a dirty newb and never played there. xD New servers are fun! I like the first idea, but the second is cool too. It does take a lot of work with writing/toolset.. But we will have to work to attract attention here as well., if you think about it. New is always fun, tho, fresh and exciting. =D. New-Fenmyr>Premade. (Moonsea is esentially the same as new for me^^ Yayz. Opinions. <3

The Pre-made along the "new Mod" would be interesting, as I said before. The New mod based on themes, such as the horror one similar to Ravenloft or the suspense - detective - mystery stories are always cool.
Problem is the creating of these worlds, we could go the cheap way and simple rip off areas we previously made, use our fenmyr-moonsea areas for the campaigns, etc. ------------------------- Returning to the Moonsea, I would want to pick up Ronix again, something that I believe is no longer possible. Making new heroes and restarting the Moonsea seems like fun, we could pick the module and "reset" it, sort of like returning to Haven, or once again skip into a near future like it was done before. ------------------------- Fenmyr, so much work on the creation of this world makes me want to continue it, even if others may not; and I'm not even one of those who worked on it the hardest. Fenmyr has so much in it to be done, so much potential to create more, with already a huge story line, religion, conflict, legends, heroes... etc... that we still remain with the liberty to CREATE more! But I already said before, it would be destined to slowly fall to the ground no matter how hard we work on it, using the module on several occasions to make campaigns is one thing, running it as a persistent world is another, and I don't believe we should do the persistent world again.
I'd see us making several campaigns in different parts of Fenmyr, with different characters, like making 3 different story lines with one player having one hero on each, the DM would run the campaign on each story line separately and we would have the variety of interactions possible from 3 different campaigns (there could be more, the number of campaigns would only be limited by the number of people who wish to make one, and knowing oni, and if this ever happened, we would have 8 campaigns probably.)
Making these campaigns with different heroes in each story is the way to go now that I think of it, like the idea Oni said, I prefer it over a persistent world. Not sure I was clear on this though...

I would love to see Moonsea return, I always had alot of fun on that server. I like all of the ideas you guys have come up with, the Horror Setting, and perhaps it would be fun to create a new FR Server.

I'd personally like to try the horror setting. Could make a village near the Vampire King's castle, would explain the dark setting, and we could still use all of the information and areas we've all ready finished for Fenmyr and still allow for new characters and plots. We could set it earlier in the in the timeline, pre-FR influence, or later than where we were while previously.
Heck, we could probably even find a way to mix the two together.
Just my 2 cents.

...so a bit more of my ramblings....
A brief rehash, more to come….really rar, mostly mixing Idea #1 and #2 together with a little bit of a twist -
Upon an island just off the southern coast of the Valron Woods sits a modest village once ruled by a retired knight-captain. This village was only known for its peaceful setting and the blue-gilled sharks commonly caught by its able fishermen until, by accident, a rich series of pure true-steel* deposits were discovered by adventurous children playing in the old quarry. This unusual finding placed the village in a dangerous position, right between several powerful groups (The Church of Cahn, the nearby citadel of the Azurites – the Crystal City, the nation of Shadowluren) struggling against one another to lay full claim to this treasure. Though not all wish to lay claim to this substance, some seek its complete and utter destruction including the likes of the Vampire King Gerlios d’Valron and the Cult of Amortus. Outsiders slowly begin to arrive by ship…
During this period of time, the church of Adonis and Cahn have lost significant influence within the Shadowluren region, due to the War of the Crystal, causing a lapse of their normal defense against the growing sphere of power the Vampire King holds in the world. The Deadlands have grown in size and his minions walk unchallenged in much of the wastes, in the areas where they can be held the efforts drain much of the resources of the two churches which struggle to maintain what lands they have influence over. The Great Alliance of the Free Nations of Fenmyr has dissolved following end of the War of the Crystal and the restoration of the deity Zinas to power, the nations split on less than better terms over the division of the Witch King’s resources. Due to this trade between the northern and southern nations has reached an unacceptable level over the course of twenty years, tensions also have continued to increase to the point of possible open hostilities. Ancient and long forgotten horrors have been stirred from their once, though obviously not, eternal sleep by the destruction of the Witch King in the ruined city of Verzhul.
Despite the loss of influence, the church of Cahn and Adonis have a joint organization that has arisen to deal with purging the world of the horrors of undeath and other evils. A group that is well known to be very hard to convince to change their minds once it is set upon something, vast numbers of Deadland residents have been gathered up and “questioned” on various topics.
*This rare and hard to purify metal is highly sought after by Cahnites, slayers, necromantic researchers, and similar ilk for its ability to nullify and even reverse undeath, depending on the overall purity of the metal in addition to how it is applied.
-- If the idea is liked, the following likely would get fleshed out --
^- The island, code-named Bifrost Isle, could be a snow-covered island due to it being located within the cooler Southern Sea. Though it is not a true island, it is still linked to Fenmyr, specifically the Valron region, by a submerged land-bridge that is only accessible during seasons that the water levels drop – this land-bridge would be commonly known as The Drowning.
^- The natives of the island could be of non-Fenmyrian or Faerunian origins, having their own religion and belief system – based upon (or just slightly ripping off) Norse mythology, which will come into conflict with the more mainstream beliefs and religions of Fenmyr. Such deities may include the likes of Odin or Woden/Wotan, Thor or Thunaer/Donar, Tyr or (more likely) Ty/Ziu, and others.
^- As result of the note above, their culture could be seen as different with elements of the familiar, the Knight-Captain may had been attempting to “educate” the natives in the ways of the civilized world. So think Viking-like…or perhaps Dwarven with elements of Viking….or vice-versa…*shrugs*

We need dwarves!
*Edit* There actually can be something we can do about dwarves, allow me to shoot out an idea as well!
- During the conflicts of the war of the Cristal, the Dwarven council decided to participate in the struggle and aid in one of the sides, something that was seen with good eyes by some and horrible actions by others. Many dwarves disagreed with entering on this war, mainly because they had very recently conquered a nation (that was also contested by allot of people,) and lost allot or resources and people. Entering another war and going through all of the problems once again was completely looked down upon by a huge number of people, and rebellion soon occurred, with inner conflicts and brutal displays of violence on the streets. Many say that the only way to return order in the dwarven realms is by Destroying the Council of Elders and Finding the King's heir. Many volunteer for both tasks.

I like NWN. From what I've heard from Oni's idea, there's quite a bit to work with in terms of story and shaping it all, in my honest opinion. I'll just have to reinstall NWN again, but I'm sort of looking forward to playing with you guys again. New character time!

So, I'm down with this idea. I even have enough time in the mornings to do some building if we all agree to get the thing rolling.
