*not far behind a small gnome, a small but stable life raft with a tent can be found at the frozen beach, the arrival on its shore had been awaited for nearly a tenday, even though it wasn't exactly planed, as the poor gnome was victim of a storm sinking his ship.
The gnome had a pale bluish skin that contrasted heavily with his dark eyes and hair, he takes his first steps on land as if he had been drinking heavily, so hard was it for him to keep a steady step after being so long away from stable land... and he found himself feeling sick... falling on his knees, shivering in cold.*
-"D'Yu, I summon you to my side"
*A small imp appeared out of mist, blue as the gnome, but this one was fully immune to the harsh cold surrounding, something that the Azurite(, even being used to cold weathers,) wished to be as well.
The telepathic bond between the master and his summon allowed the Imp to know what the master wanted, even without him speaking his urge, the imp went to his magic bag to remove any remaining tinder and wood, and proceeded to find a cave, to where the Azurite would follow, and spend a day or two, until he regained a steady foot on the firm soil again*
-"A million thanks, and one more, to you D'Yu!"
*During this period of adaption, it basicaly was the imp taking care of the master, finding him food, shelter, preparing the meals, and the warmth, even if it was under the mental influence of the Azurites mind.
The day had come for the Azurite to patch up his torn clothing as well he could and head off to find a more hospitable place either then the wind struck beach side.*

*Not exactly the first time he had seen the barbarian village, but only after a day or two on the harsh environment did the Azurite muster enough courage to walk in the village begging for shelter, hoping the best.
The reaction however, was amazingly anti-dramatic, as they cared little for the Gnomes appearance and showed no sign of distress over such a small and frail foe, the Azurite couldn't help but feel a bit insulted.
He would spend as little time with the barbarians as he could, but their warm houses, with enough food to last several winters in a row, seemed a much more pleasing alternative then spending nights in a cave, eating rats and the likes (even though the Azurite had eaten much worse).
He would walk into to the Mead Hall, loud conversations next to a warm environment and streangh/endurance competitions made the hall seem like a large Dwarven Tavern full of bulls, the small gnome would walk to a chair, barely being tall enough to reach the table, and starts to discretely gather dry goods, until the maiden showed up condescending his behavior, out of a sudden turn of events, he soon found himself in the company of one of the largest humans around, talking to him about the region. The Giants name, the Azurite discovered, was Grimir and after a few drinks and a unbalanced fist fight, the Azurite wasn't so alone, even if Grimir so far was one of the few who tolerated his presence*
Probably summoning D'Yu to steal my own mead wasn't such a good idea. *he thought, after he left the village. This occurred when the large man kept trying to feed the Azurite with alcohol, out of desperation he pulled one last trick that revealed his true nature more then he intended, and he was even warned by the leader, the only one who realized that D'Yu was summoned by the Azurite* But I do so much hate that drink, probably best to lay low and let things calm a bit more, apparently I am stuck here for a long time untill I can find an exit, IF I wan't to find an exit, either way I will need their help.

Giants!
*The Azurite lays on an inn bed, incredibly fatigued from the continious adventures he had.
To those unfamiliar to magic, when a wizard casts a spell, he uses a bit of his inner force chained with the true name of the spell, the inner force is stolen from him as a way to give the words its form, so a wizards power is always parallel to how much "energy" he can spare from himself.
More powerful mages do not necessarily possess more "energy", but they learn to use less of it for a spell, so a cantrip could consume one and leave him near death if he is not prepared, while others may barely notice the difference, and that is why concentration is the heart and soul of a powerful wizard.
The Azurite needed to recharge his "energy"*
Ah! if they could see me now! Dodging raging bugbears, boulders and great metallic rusty blades swinging inches away from me! If only the old expedition crew could see this, as I hardly believe they would believe me if I said it!
*The Azurite probably hears noises, ((not sure if the giants attacked on Oni's event, I'm assuming they did, otherwise ignore this side note)) The Giants attacking and following upon the city walls, the Azurite wished he could participate, but in his weak condition he was as usefull there as a chair to a whale.*
Giants.. amazing, so close to be crushed by one, and I found myself rushing in, in an attempt to push it into a stream! I didn't particularly enjoyed life threatening situations, the dangers always seem to not be worth... well.. my life.. but the adrenaline rush, the excitement! The need for quick decisions! Yes indeed, a good adventure indeed.
*He grins, as he keeps resting, it would be several hours before he could once again walk*

*The Azurite walks in the already familiar Inn, laying down in his bed exhausted once more... this time because he foolishly charted off all his power in a very short battle.
Once again, in case some may wonder why this should fatigue more then usual, the magic-to-muscle translation of what the Azurite went through is that he sprinted as fast as he could in the first yard of the race, meaning he wasted all his "energy" before even doing half its track, in lame terms.
The Azurite Rests down, aware that in the same Inn, a Weigris is nearby resting as well after being teleported from the other side of the continent, a powerful magic indeed, which either means someone really wanted to get her away from him (which is the story she said) or she really wanted to get away from someone (which is one of the stories the Azurite thought of).
She is an odd creature for the Bifrost natives, so the less they see of her the better for all, and thus is why she is spending so much time in the inn.
The Azurite keeps an eye on her, through the means of his fellow impish companion (D'Yu), and so far he has so solution but to trust her stories and assume the best... even though this will no doubt be the center of attention for a long while.*
Oh... and I need a Workshop.. badly
*Concluded the Azurite before going to sleap.*

*Theodore walks over the Lake near the Kvinnian village, under his invisibility spell he can pass through the giants and often visit the construction site.
He goes from from one margin to another, sitting on a spot where the great alpha wolf was dying, and which out of generosity of a hunter (the irony) allowed it to live another day.*
-Hrmm... Wolf... Canis... Lupus...
*Thedore continues his walk along the lake, looking at its center, where a staircase to a "kingdom" not visible in the clouds started a bizarre twisted adventure in which its heroes were often forced to fight themselves, with an explosive ending.
In this same story, Theodore remembered the enormous wolf that aided them in the task*
-Bizarre... Sky... Explosion... Traitorous... Bizarre or Bizzaria is the name of the first plant which was combined of two different species... The light from the sky is a result of the scattering of sunlight, which results in a light blue color... An explosion is a sudden increase in volume and release of energy in an extreme manner...
*He starts to exit the area, until he remembered the Feystone that was once in the lake, and the numerous giants and monsters the lake attracts daily.* -Fey... A word that also means "doomed, fated to die", often ascribed to supernatural causes, and evidenced by abnormal behavior cognate to "féigr"... or pixies and fairies! Giants... everything in huge stature...
Hrmmm...
*Theodore walks back and forth in the snow, considering already his short number of adventures that he has already joined, before once again thinking in the words.* -Ice, cold, frost. Lake, water. Canis. Bizzaria. Giants. Féigr. Hrmmm... The Bizzarian Féigorian Frozen Giant Canis Tower!
...probably doesn't roll too easily off the tongue...
Tower of the Bizzaria, as everything seems to be linked to the bizarre. Probably the continuous "zz" sounds in that word get anoying.
Freycanis Tower, combining the words Frozen, Fey and canis!
I like Freycanis.
*Theodore re enforces his invisibility spell as he returns to town.*

*Theodore writes on his large book everything that goes through his head, not emotionally but creatively.
Along with the plans of how to build his workshop, and the tower itself, the Azurite also made blue prints for several other interesting items.
Even though many are currently impossible to do due to the Azurites resources, some of them have been marked as possible inventions as soon as the shop is done.
His Favorites seem, to be a helmet that is equipped with a tube and a small pumping system that pushes air into the canister where acid/poison is to the tube and out of the helmet.
The Helmet part is done, with the design to comfortably hold the tubes and a small exit on the forehead, keeping a safe distance from the wielder from getting hit by the acid himself, and with a resilient canister/pipes to hold the acids.
Theodore is still in search of proper acids for this plan. ---
On another page, the Azurite has plans for a mechanical hook propeller for smaller stature/weaker people, this includes a powerful spring in a box that can be pulled back with a rotating lever, for easy leverage, the box would also contain a place to tie the hooks rope and it should be small in size and weight to not burden the carrier. ---
On a more complex end, the Azurite is planning making a gun powder propelled Crossbow, with a sturdy metal made bow and a sealed compartment to hold allot of specially crafted bolts to stand the heat of gun powder explosion, as well as a slot for a magazine of said bolts that will be feeding the crossbow with ammo with a click from the wielder.
Theodore is yet wondering the complexity of having a crossbow with three triggers, one to fire, one to feed it with ammo and one to release the magazine, but after some careful training he thinks it should be more efficient then a normal crossbow.*

*Theo walks out in the cold snowy road, outside the village walls, he is calm enough to do so without fear of danger because of his tricky spells that always managed to fool the enemies long enough for Theodore to escape.*
Never was a man to enjoy long walks *he thought to himself* It tires me, and I am not built for running.
*He keeps going down the road, being hit by the falling snow, he turns around and looks at the village walls, still visible from that distance.*
I do hope, with a burning anger, that that cursed ring maims them in a way that would scar them for life... more trust in a...a... sorceress and a man that acts on impulse and with a destructive nature... then me... a DAMN scholar of magic and this world of the arcane for nearly forty years, under the guidance of good dear friend Frim the Blue... I do hope the curse maims them.
*Theo turns around again, thinking in his anger and spite in the solitude of the road, the words did not hide the fact he wanted the ring for himself, since he was given the bag with the artifacts to his hands he had felt the rings power, and he wanted to keep "forgetting" he had them, until the artifacts themselves leaped on to the table, in front of everyone*
Ha... greedy, never thought of me as greedy... but if I look back on my actions... I leap on every bit of knowledge I can before anyone else dares near them, usually they do not care about knowledge so I assume its alright... but what if it isn't? What if its because of people like me... that tend to grab on to knowledge for themselves, that cultures sometimes tend not to develop...
...Interesting.
*Theo keeps going down the road, His mind racing about the ring, but slowly finding himself to rationalize the ring as an impersonation of what he should not turn into, he pushes it from his mind, scared of thoughts such as him torturing the laws of Nature, like experienced wizards trying to cheat death tend to do, just so he could prove that there is nothing Theodore Dissengulp can't escape from.*
I should keep myself calmer... perhaps it is best to.. refresh my ideas.
*He hears something large walk by, he quickly casts invisibility on himself and runs back to town*

*The Azurite lays with his head ontop of a large book, sleaping. On the familiar journal of memories and inventions, a page was open picturing a drawing made by the Azurite himself, quite a good drawing based on black and white contrast colours, the drawing was of a fire explosion that engolfed a large area, the details showed houses burning, next to the drawing a lare equasion made by the Azurite himself, calculating the force and power of a spell, and the magical reaction that would cause havoc.
In that island, only Theodore possessed the brain power to discern what that equasion is for, but in simple terms, it explains what would happen if the Magic Theodore manipulates would dissipate from him, the results prove that a small area would become engolfed in the magic, and destroyed.
The whole assuption of this equasion is based upon two flaws Theodore is happy to know that are impossible, one being the Azurite simply can not join all his magical prowess for one single spell, his frail body can't stand that soul shaking experience; and another being he simply doesn't know how to "mash" his power all together in one uniform sample of -pure- magic, as everything has a name, everything has a form, everything has an essence.*
*Theodore wakes up, cleaning the dried drool from the corner of his mouth, and he closes the book, thinking in events passed*
"Saw for the first time where the villagers tend to go, a tournament of pure savageness where one is forced to kill or be killed for the lust of gold and recognition, I watched over the fights carefully, noting that a man was heavily aplauded when he felled a Gorgon with his bare hands, or to see another being adored and nearly worshiped for slaying hordes of undead abominations of ice, and finaly, one man recieved the epic ovation for standing on a long lasting fight against a regenerating beast, one that kept the audiances attention on him at all times.
The displays of such brute force and swordsman skill is praised, but I won't enter that arena with my magic alone so soon, I remember going in with a group and we slaughtered our way to the end using cuning spells combined with coordination and team effort, and agaisnt opponents much more dire then those of the single combat trial, and the crowd (in reaction to my magic) vaguely aplauded the preformance."
*Theodore packs his book on one of his magical satchels, looking over the staff and his helmet, the prizes of escaping the grasping claws of the demon known as Legion, he sets his new set of tools on the Inn table and picks up his Metalic Crossbow, working on it with what little resources he managed to lay his hands on.*

*Theodore sits on his Dungeon like chamber, his workshop. Even though he never did intend to make it dungeon'ish, he has to admit to himself it does kinda look like one.
He enters his room and sits by his desk, takes out his familiar book from a shelf instead of his satchel, and begins to take notes of the things he remembers, or takes particular interest.*
"So long it has been since I took a breather to think of anything calmly.
I spent a tenday on Syrkos, traveled there under an assignment, ended up staying there a while to refreshen my views of another world besides my home and the frozen wasteland of Kvinne, and I must say it was reinvigorating! Even despite the fact that they are impartial to slavery and that the society there seems quite... colder, and reserved mentally, speaking with someone you get this gut feeling you are doing nothing but waste the little time he has and that he will probably punch you if you persist.
Luckily, did come across some arcane scholars that thrived in sharing knowledge and stories, reminded me more of bards then anything else but they kindly greeted me there and showed me some of splendors of the town, including a free passage over they're library in which I spent must of my time.
*Theodore leans back on his chair, grinning as he looks over his slim and weak version of a library, with some of the books he managed to acquire in Syrkos.*
"ancient mines with ancient gear with not-so-ancient people in it believing in ancient ways, a good adventure that gave me two very sound conclusions, I should say three..... maybe four. One, Constructs are a hell of a lot of work. Two, flying machines, must have one. Three, Nifl is colder or as cold as the Desert of Ice hostile plains, won't be wanting to go there any time soon. Four... I forgot now...
*Theodore looks over to nothingness thinking over the fourth topic as he taps his chin*
And Akumida's! first time I see one so close! and by close I mean that lovely kick that it landed on me
*He laughs as he makes it seem like he just had a harsh pat on the back and not kicked nearly through a wall*
An Akumida who is searching for an equal in order to become the master of the fists, little do I know of these creatures... but they're power is amazing to say the least... next time I see one that doesn't try to kill me or "test" me, I must remind myself to remain calm and try not to insult it with too many questions.

*Theodore gets up from his bed, scratching his arm faintly, more reactionary then intentional, he looks over the white marks on his arm, barely noticeable due to his already pale blue-ish skin.*
" "You have a few years" She said as if it was a good thing... A race that measures its greatness in centuries does not do well with a few years..."
*Theodore coughs*
"Research will arrive in a month, I have that long to prepare my workshop into an alchemists quarter, even though if the high mages of Pherin and Sillilnyme failed to find a cure, I alone don't hope to do much... but I'll be damned if I give up..."
*Theodore opens the door of his room, walking in his workshop, pulling away some boxes, and cleaning his desk of any contraptions he started out of mindless boredom, doohickeys with no real porpoise.*
"...as I don't plan to give my life away so soon, with so much left to be done!" *Theodore frowns, surprised to take such a brave stance without his helmet on* "four hundred years of like ahead of me, I will not so soon perish in "a few years" when I am yet to get a flying machine!"
*Theodore starts to arrange vials, and ingredients, as well as test tubes and all of the likes, he would spend his day working on this, until the dwarves called on more food.*

*He sees a presence controlling Raven, a chance to stop it without harming Raven... he moves closer and closes his eyes as he focuses his mind to try a spell of mental control to expel the presence in Raven.
Something blocks, Theo fights on.
Its strong, Theo pushes harder.
...A large flash of light bursts out as Theo opens his eyes wide and is sent flying out limp and numb... barely able to breathe...
He looks around him, fuzzy shapes jumping too fast for him to recognize, everything seems so fast and blurry*
....th..sho....shop...
*He is stabbed, that much he knows, for what reason goes beyond him*
....s...shop...
*he closes his eyes, resting, as he feels his body being teleported, he feels good, closing his eyes did him well, just resting.
It gets too dark... Theo can't open his eyes again...*
*He dies*
