A warning to those of the Kiran area...
Recently an increase in the wolf population has become apparent to those in Kiran, however, it is not of the native lupines that has created the attention, it is the nature of these newcomers. Several of the wolves, a small pack, have shown to have amazing powers and intelligence greater than a normal man. They have made their presence known to several about the village, including a few in the newly formed Fellowship of the Howling Star group. Though, the newest and most urgent of the dangers, is the presence of a massive red coated wolf, twice the size of a dire wolf, and the wolf pack it has has shown its domiance over. This large wolf has turned out to be one of the fabled lycanthropes that appear every generation of mankind, it stands easily ten feet tall and is hunched over, its back and body covered in muscle though it appears seemingly only when the moon is full, this lasts normally three days. Its pack are also lycanthropes, though they are lesser in comparison to the large one, they are still a dangerous threat in their own right.
Those living in town are safer than most, as wolves hardly come into Human controlled territories due to danger of being killed. The walls also add to the protection of you and your loved ones. So there is little worry to these wolves suddenly attacking the town. Lycanthropes are not known to normally attack villages openly, so again the risk is low and the town guard, in addition to the presence of the 22nd Legion, should keep them at bay. There is no need to panic in response to this new information. Merely be prepared, keep additional water and food in your houses.
"Job":
To those who are taking part in the "job", it has damaged several things and repairs are currently being done. It is vital those involved meet and speak, as the lycanthropes pose a critical threat to the job's completion.
Tips:
Do not travel on the nights of the full moon if at all possible.
Becareful while traveling during the day, if you spot signs of wolves or other creatures in the area, it is wise to not invade their territory.
Take caution in traveling anytime at night, especially if you are carrying food and/or injuried. As this will not only attract wolves but also possibly undead, which also is a continuing issue.
Concerning the Divine-Touched:
In the odd chance one appears to you, do not offend it and try to turn down any offers. Return to the village and your home as quickly as you can. These wolves, save the large black one, do not seem openly aggressive and will likely leave you be. Sightings should be reported.
Concerning the Lycanthrope Cursed Wolves:
If one of these wolves, or lycanthropes, are encountered it is best to flee if at all possible. While it is potentially possible to slay one without a silver weapon, it is unwise to do so. If one is armed with a silver weapon, it is still best to flee, but your chance of slaying the creature is greater than one who has not a silver weapon. The risk of becoming cursed if one is bitten is a very real danger, the cure to such is rare in this region and the window to apply the cure is extremely limited. Report any sightings to the guardforce or Legion.
Concerning the Massive Lycanthrope:
Flee. Report the sighting to the Legion and townguard.
