Small Pheric Island Sinks to Bottom of the Sea![/i]
Following a series of town-cryers informing the city that something landed upon the island of Szragil, a small island west of the now destroyed Kiran in the Western Sea, several adventurers, including one "Derek Blake" and "Marcus Highwind" among others, went out to investigate the matter.
The one group, seemingly lead by a "Marcus Highwind", reports running into a numbered of "fanged" trolls near Kiran on their way to Szragil, this is unconfirmed by the guard-force that is monitoring the location but it wouldn't be completely unheard of for trolls to be in the region of Kiran, just never any reported "fanged" ones. Though according to some Kiran survivors, these "fanged" trolls had showed up before and local adventurers were able to destroy them.
Eventually the one group runs into the other on the isle and they begin their investigation together. Seemingly though the island is fairly empty, given what occured, that makes some sense I suppose. But eventually they ran into starving owlbears, some bitten, but not infected with the cursed black blood. Though it wouldn't be long till they found what appeared to be signs of the zombies. In the forest, heading to the ruined town of Agil, they were attacked by dozens of the horrid beings, but they managed to fend them off without any losses.
As they waded through the undeath, they reached the village of Agil - which was filled with the likes of two-hundred zombies who were "learning" and chosing an leader. The group decided it was best to put an end to this in some manner, reports of what occured here vary though. One report says Marcus Highwind led some off himself to battle to allow the others to escape, which they did not do for whatever reason. Another says the other fighters defended the mages, but the general census is through the might of magic, Derek Blake and assisted by another, blew a hole into Szragil after setting off a chain reaction between the zombies but somehow held it from escaping the confines of the town. This cause the island to flood and sink, save the tower that is found there which they claim is the Midnight Bel of the Warlock Wilder.
Somehow they managed to escape and report this, and that a dragon, if one was on the island to even begin with, likely went to the Midnight Bel. Their paperwork is being sorted and their rewards readied, their brave actions will be kept in our minds as our nation begins its march to war.
