Geographical Information:
Sillilnyme is the second largest forest in Fenmyr, though just barely half the size of the Shadowluren Wood. It is the home to the Sillilnyme Elves, and the center of their empire. The region lays at the mid-west end of Fenmyr, bordering Pherin on its north side, the Shadowluren Wood on its south side, the Western Sea to its west, the Lodestone Mountains to its northeast, and the Deadlands to the southeast. Much unlike the Shadowluren Wood, which Sillilnyme is separated from only by the great Kinshiy Valley, Sillilnyme does not vary much in climate or terrain. The woods cover the entire region, leaving very few plains to be found, and the few which do exist are quite small in size.
The Sillilnyme have dotted their territory with a number of cities in their long history. Though the ruins of some of the larger of these ancient cities can still be spotted, it is rare to find remnants of the smaller settlements. The cities which still make up the empire today are often heavily fortified, and very secluded. Unlike the Human lands, it’s uncommon at best to find any Sillilnyme living in communities on the outskirts of their cities. This leaves much of the land between the cities relatively untouched, as the woods are too massive for even travelers to cover the entirety of.
Though not nearly as prominent a faction in the region, the Vosauho do make up a considerable percent of the total population of Sillilnyme. Though being perhaps the only race more independent in Fenmyr than the Sillilnyme, it’s entirely possible to travel these woods for years and never come across any sign that the Vosauho exist there.

Generalized Cultural Information:
The customs of the Sillilnyme Elves are based heavily on old traditions. These traditions are seemingly heavily influenced by Kara-Turan Culture(or, more likely, Kara-Turan culture was heavily influenced by the Sillilnyme ages ago). Honor plays perhaps the heaviest role in the Sillilnyme culture. Those who are stripped of their honor are cast out and banished from the great woods of Sillilnyme. Those who earn honor through great displays of courage, combat prowess, leadership, and in some rare cases political savvy, are regarded amongst their kin much the same as a great hero would in most other cultures. In general, most Sillilnyme are not highly religious, though loyalty to one’s faith is held in high regard no less.
Typically, males are dominant in Sillilnyme culture, taking up the roles of hunters, soldiers, and sometimes politicians from an early age (90-120). Though it is rare for a young Sillilnyme to take up politics. This role is often taken by veterans of Sillilnyme military service, especially those who achieve the rank of General. Females are often left with more domestic responsibilities, though it is acceptable for a female to enter the life of a soldier or hunter. It is, however, unheard of in Sillilnyme culture for a female to enter politics, even after an extended military career.
Sillilnyme Elves are rarely welcoming to outsiders. While not hostile to travelers, they will not accommodate them as generously as they would one of their own. It is not a matter of distrust, or even dislike, the Sillilnyme are simply arrogant in their ways, usually thinking themselves above others. If however, a Sillilnyme’s honor is insulted by an outsider, matters often turn hostile very quickly. The Sillilnyme have no tolerance for those who do not show honor in their lands(sometimes causing complications when they carry this same intolerance into foreign lands).
Architecture is often not highly elaborate in Sillilnyme cities, favoring more simple designs, though baring no resemblance to Human architecture. This is not the case in the Capital City of Nyeanilwal Eo Quilwal, however. The Capital is home to many exquisite examples of Elven craftsmanship, adorned with statues of those who have earned great honor in the eyes of the emperors. Such statues can be seen in most any Sillilnyme city, though are usually limited to a mere one or two, often of such heroes who earned their honor in those cities.
