Sol’s Lumière:
The theocratic based knighthood of the faith of Adonis that was founded by the crusader Grens Astrogis of Verzhul centuries before the Ark of Quain incident. It is the oldest knight order still surviving in Fenmyr even though many of their numbers were lost in the crusades launched by Arbon, including the Arbon-Jaia war, and the eruption of power from the Ark. They are based around New Pherin though do have a few enclaves throughout Fenmyr, which have survived to some degree.
The order’s hierarchy is based upon valor and seniority, the ranks and number (-- meaning no limit) of each from top to bottom are: The Astrogis (1), Grand Masters (2), Senior Chevalier (8), Chevalier (--), Knight Captain (--), Knight (--), Squire (--), and Page (--).
Originally an order whose membership was based upon noble heritage but due to the events that has taken a toll on their order, they permit anyone who possesses the skills, drive, and faith to join the ranks. Most often, they try to pick young boys, about the age of five to seven, and raise them in accordance to the order’s teachings and the faith of Adonis.
The boys enter the rank of Page at the age of 7, where they would be made to live with a chevalier in order to learn how to behave as well as how to ride a horse and a number of other things, including how to wait on noble ladies and knights.
Around the age of 14, they would be promoted to the rank of Squire where they would learn how to use weapons and how to care for it as well as a knight’s armor and horse. The Squire would serve a knight as an assistant in a way, even sometimes entering combat along side the knight. Around this time, they could depart willingly from the knighthood to enter the priesthood, which has an extremely close tie to the knighthood.
Usually after a few years and once valor and faithfulness to duty have been proven, a squire can be promoted to the rank of Knight through the process of dubbing. Where they are given an official title, such as “Wolvesbane”, along with their title of Knight. The actual dubbing ceremony is held in the Cathedral of Sol in the ruin city of Verzhul. The Knight’s duty is to serve their superiors, usually directly a Knight Captain and indirectly through higher ranked officials, and do their duty as knights – protect the weak, defeat evil, spread the teachings of Adonis, and be noble. The Knights have to follow a code of honor, of which they could not break in fear of being removed from the order.
Knights eventually can earn higher rank through serving the order bravely and wisely. Though not all Knights always succeed in this and some often fail on purpose, the knights forced from the order are often called Rogue Knights and are sometimes hunted by the order – many wear a black or red cloak. Knights, who have left the order on good terms, are always welcomed to return and are usually marked with a white cloak.

The Cult of Genarml:
The Cult of Genarml, the worshippers of the demonic king that brought death and destruction to Fenmyr. They are a group that wishes to resurrect Genarml in order to continue their lord’s wishes of destruction - the Cult is directly opposed by a number of groups including the Sol’s Lumière. Many members of the cult are of the faith of Fiangon, a deity said to be the protégé of Genarml, it is Fiangon’s goal to bring Genarml back, for what purpose though is unknown. The cult members are numerous and they come from all walks of life, most though are criminals and bloodthirsty cutthroats but some members of the cult hold powerful positions throughout Fenmyr.
To join the cult most people seek out a current member, who can be difficult to find since the Cult is openly hunted, but there are no tests or requirements to join. Cult members are merely required to give an offering of gold to the Cult Masters and kill any, who oppose the Cult in the name of Genarml.
The Cult’s hierarchy is the following and number (-- meaning no limit) of from top to bottom: Chosen of Genarml (1), Arch Priest/ess (2), Cult Masters (4), Daemonguard Lords (4), High Priest/ess (32), Daemonguard Captains (20), Priest/ess (--), Daemonguards (--), and Children of Genarml (--).
The Cult is setup into groups, called Fists, unless a grand meeting is called for, they are broken into organized chapters throughout Fenmyr, four principle ones.
Each of the Fists have the following: Cult Master (1), Daemonguard Lord (1), High Priest/ess (8), Daemonguard Captains (5), Priest/ess (--), Daemonguards (--), and Children of Genarml (--).
The Arch Priest/ess travel to each of the Fists one at a time, so at any one time, they are with two of the four fists. The Chosen of Genarml is never at any of the Fists in its physical form, it supposedly appears in an Astral Projection of itself at each of the four, it however appears in the flesh at the grand meetings. No one is sure what exactly the Chosen is in terms of sex or even race, as they always appear in a large suit of pitch-black armor that is covered by an equally dark colored robe along with a large horned helm. This is not form fitting so one cannot tell if the figure has any indications of sex or race. As to the voice or body language, both are neutral in presentation, so it makes for the identity of the Chosen somewhat a mystery.

Celestial Leylines:
Pirates, the quickest definition one can give for the Celestial Leylines. They are a large organization of multiple families that are lead by the Tendo King Shin. The pirates’ culture is heavily influenced by Kara-Tur, from when many travelers sailed to Fenmyr in this way the pirates have some similarities with the Sillilnyme Elves. It is said that there are exactly a hundred and eight extended families that make up the Celestial Leylines, each representing one of the stars of Destiny and have gathered before the pirate king, the Tendo King, as his Destiny is that powerful. The current Tendo King is Shin, named after the founder of the Celestial Leylines in times before the Ark, whose fate is said to be tied to the Ark. They resides mostly on islands in the western and northern seas, the headquarters of the Tendo King is said to be Red Fang Island but it is not on any nautical navigational charts.
To become a pirate one is typically born into a pirate family, since the families are quite massive being not just the clan’s namesake, but also various house that make up the clan. However, one can become a pirate by earning the trust of a house’s leader usually through quest presented by them. Yet another way is to simply marry into the family or be forced into the family, a prisoner or slave can sometimes catch the eye of a powerful house leader.
The pirates’ hierarchy is simple and is the following from top to bottom: Tendo King, the 108 Stars (house leaders), Pirate Captains (those who have control of a ship), Pirates, and Grunts (slaves or prisoners who have proven enough loyalty). There does exist some sub ranks but they are not usually used but for example the 108 Stars tend to have a personal, and often times very expensive, bodyguard who would outrank a Pirate Captain but it doesn’t have an official title save sometimes called the Yojimbo and they are not always of the families.

Wandering Bulwarks:
A guild that is based out of New Pherin, it is made up of primarily former mercenaries who now sell their services through the guild to people traveling to places such as Verzhul. The guild has earned a reputation of being the best in protection of travelers taking the pilgrimage to the Cathedral of Sol in Verzhul. The guild is not very old, as it has only existed since the fall of Arbon after the death of the God Emperor Ensis, but it has a strong influence on the politics in New Pherin. Its founder, Abel Kanison runs the guild as a business, as the man has no combat training or experience, much of the combative side of things are ran by his goddaughter Reis Azira.
The guild sales its services nearly to everyone, few exceptions do apply but their requirements are extremely hard to reach but they exist for a few reasons. The guild operates three businesses, they are: the mercenary guild, the guild shop, and a courier service. Reis is head of both the mercenary guild and the courtier service while Abel is head of the guild shop. The guild holds a moderate sphere of influence outside of New Pherin, the guild is known of in most regions of Fenmyr but its members are not in most cases, also they mainly only service regions within a tenday’s travel of New Pherin unless the pay is exception.
In order to join the guild they must first apply for what portion of it and then provide information on themselves. The guild is considered fair to most applicants save Half-Orcs, who they subject to additional tests and questioning due to prior incidents with their kind. Members are given guild only weaponry, armor, and permission to use the barracks and such.
The mercenary guild’s hierarchy is the following and number (-- meaning no limit) of from top to bottom: The Great Bulwark (1), Master Warders (4), Warders (8), Bulwarks (--), Shield-bearers (--), and Wanderers (--).

The Azan Mob:
A mafia that is highly organized and rules the city of Azan, a trade city located east of New Pherin. Believed to control most crime in Pherin, and to be behind the disappearances of those committing the "rest" of the crime in Pherin, the Azan Mob is known to be centered around the city of Azan. The Mob isn't all bad, however, as not all crimes committed are against Pherin. The common thugs and the like in the Azan Mob are generally nothing special, yet those members who achieve "titled" status are considered to be untouchable, and even the City Watches are often wary of getting into any trouble with them without a good reason.
The mob’s hierarchy is the following: The Boss (1) - the Captains - "Titled Men" - 3/captain (Once becoming a captain, no longer counted under "Titled Men" count). Connected men are unlimited, though if one screws up may cost the "Titled Man" his life.
There also exists a specific sect of “Titled Men” that work directly for The Boss and they are referred to as the Facilitators. They are feared assassins whose mere name causes fear induced reactions, their specific style is taught to them by sources only known to The Boss.
The current The Boss is Imperatore.
