Famous Persons (NPCS/Historical Figures):
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
God Emperor Ensis:
The Chosen of Adonis, the Emperor of Arbon, a living god, slayer of the Demonic King Genarml, and his other titles – a man of great power and influence in Fenmyr. He had supposedly lived since just before the Ark of Quain incident, having slain the newly and incomplete Genarml and saving Fenmyr from a reign of darkness though inevitably causing the catastrophic eruption of the Ark’s power. Some even believed he was the reincarnated Quain Dracheklinge, the Emperor of the Empire of Sol, the man who united Fenmyr. Through his long life, Ensis would strengthen the power of Arbon and hunt the Cultists, though even he was subject to the dark seeds that Humanity can inflict on a person’s mind. Over the final half of his life, he became colder and more stern – forcing the collection of many samples of life over Fenmyr and having his scientists experiment with them, one such result were the altered Doogs. Using the military might of Arbon, he successfully enslaved a number of Fenmyrian races to serve as fodder in his military and launched the massive Arbon-Jaia war which would last till his own death. It took the combined might of Jaia and the Northern Alliance of the Moonsea to destroy him, but the loss was possibly too much – many heroes died in that battle and the kingdom of Jaia was destroyed in the battle.
Lady Melja:
Chevalier of the Sol’s Lumière who fought in the battle of Verzhul when the Jaians were able to invade through the defenses of the city once the God Emperor went into personal combat against a warrior of the Moonsea. She lost her life defending the Cathedral of Sol while battling several men on her own - she took half of her attackers down with her. Survivors of Verzhul consider her a heroine for her selfless acts, by most reports she had ample time to flee before the assault on the Cathedral. For whatever reason, her spirit has been unable to pass unto the next life and she lingers in the ruins of Verzhul.
Quain Dracheklinge:
Once a mercenary that was employed by the government of Arbon to battle the outlanders landing near settlements in the south. Proving himself in that duty and numerous other ones, he was able to form his own mercenary outfit, the Black Sparrow Hawks. Over the years, he gained more and more fame and power, eventually having enough support to take the nation of Jaia, which he did. Slowly but steadily he took over more and more nations of Fenmyr until they were all under his rule, he named the empire the Empire of Sol, after the deity Adonis. Under his tight fisted rule, he set into motion many political and social changes to Fenmyr, including the annual trade meets between the various races that occupied the lands under his rule. Having foreseen his own death, he had the Ark built as a constant reminder to the people of Fenmyr the power one man can obtain. It took only two emperors after himself to shatter the Empire of Sol. His body is said to be within the Ark’s center chamber.
Amun'nath of Indarkul:
A magic researcher in the city of Indarkul and a professor of Demonic Studies in the Ivory Academy of the Arcanum. He was lead project manager of the Abyssal Well project, a project that was to harness the powers of the Abyss that often times poured into the Prime through specific points and use this energy to fuel various applications. He, however, was already laced with Demonic energy, an ancestor of his had willingly mated with a demon and through the generations while the power deluded some, it was still abundant in him. Closer to the completion of the Abyssal Well he rapidly changed persona, he was killing people and using their life energy to fuel the golems necessary to complete the project. His coworkers attempted to get him to stop, but failed and most of their lives were added to fueling the golems – it took the combined power of the Academy’s founders to seal Amun'nath into a crystal. Ironically it was this that saved his life when the deity Kale sunk the city to keep the Balance safe and the deity Rhion for preserving the entire city, preventing any decay to the project and of course Amun'nath’s prison. With the death of the God Emperor Ensis which had a key role in causing the Ark to erupt some energy, he is now freed and able to continue his research.
Tendo King Shin:
The man of many fates, the Tendo King, the leader of the Celestial Leylines – Shin a man with no surname, as he had no family before becoming king of the Pirates. Shin was orphaned when his parents were slain by the Celestial Leylines during a routine ferry ride to the trade city of Azan. Being only a young boy, he entered a life of street urchin crime and formed a small gang until the Azan Mob drove them out of the city. Now a young teenager, Shin attempted to join the Arbonian Navy in hopes he could have his revenge against the pirates, but his past preceded him and he was unable to join the Navy due to his history of petty crime. So he took more humble jobs while in the city of Verzhul in efforts to obtain the funds needed to continue his journey, it was not until he was sixteen when he was able to fool a pirate into allowing him passage on the ship. The ship took him to the Red Fang Island and he was found, a stowaway, forced into a prison he suffered humiliation and torture for two long years until the previous Tendo King wished to speak to the young man.
