Character Name: Grom Bearhammer
Height: 7'0"
Weight: Over 400lbs
Skin Colour: Slightly black, darker than even most Orcs his shade.
Markings: Many scars upon his face, and body. The markings of the Redskull Roscan tribe on his body.
Eye Colour: One is black, the other is a pale white.
Hair Colour: He has no hair.
Personality (brief): Grom tends to be an introverted Orc when it comes to his past. However, he is not introverted when it comes to his desires. If he wishes food, you will know. Whether or not you will be happy that you have learned it is another story. His origins have made him a very blunt and straight forward character. He will react to things that frighten him immediately, and will react to things that make him happy, angry, sad, etc immediately. When it comes to his deity however, Grom is nothing but respectful. The Roscan blood is not disrespectful even if you are not his deity, he is merely blunt. He conducts himself with honor, dignity, and some semblance of intelligence. Unless frightened..
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Occupations: Basic weapon and armor crafter, adept Shipwright, Mercenary when it suits his needs, Naturalist, Hunter, Worshipper
Religion: Dagura (Neutral)
Education Level: (INT 11) Grom is not a stupid orc by any means. He may revert to a less than intelligent state if things aren't going his way, naturally. He speaks with a clear tone, obviously educated by someone. When he cannot pronounce a word he will become indignant if someone is to correct him. Most of Grom's knowledge lies in Nature, plants, animals, wilderness, barbarian tribes, Roscan tribes, and folk lore. Grom has many stories of great battles of past, Roscan glory above all.
Family: Deceased.
Birthplace: Shadowluren Forest
Background: Grom hails from one of the remnants of the ill-fated Redskull Roscans. One such tribe existed in the Shadowluren Forest, following the Roscan diety Dagura. The worshippers of the god were surprisingly not at arms with the Elves or Humans that would live in the area. Due to the tribunes they paid, and the respect they paid the forest, they were not destroyed outright. Only when a Roscan did something wrong would they be slaughtered, as was the same with Goblins and other races of the area. The Elves and the Roscans were at an uneasy peace, and the Elves and Roscans left one another alone.
Grom's life started nearly twenty years ago, which is a long time considering his race's brutal and fast paced lifestyle. He was a hunter, and a first in line to become Chieftain of his tribe. His life was uneventful leading up to the events that would change it forever. Hunting, sacrificing, and participating in ritual dinners. He had several heirs to his family line, Grom was the best warrior in the tribe, though he was not the smartest or wisest - that honor belonged to the tribe's Chieftain. Grom learned what he could from the leader every day that he could. In the meantime, he sculpted his hammer skills, being the only Roscan of the tribe to use them. He had completed the Great Hunt of the Redskull tribe seven seasons running. Basically, Grom was very happy in his life and very blessed by Dagura.
During the ninth Great Hunt that Grom found himself participating in, he returned to a blaze. The entire tribe burned. Grom ran through the flames, ignoring his body burning in the flames as he ran to the elder and his fellow clansmen. An amulet the Chieftain had gifted him allowed him to survive for the time, until it's protection faded. Grom fled from the flames, but not before seeing the Elder's face in the flames. All that he had known was gone, and his body was severely scarred. It has never grown hair back, and the tribe's tattooes had run. Grom was now a disfigured Roscan, even worse than being one perhaps.
He travelled the Shadowluren forests for a time, before being run out by the Elves due to the fire that was started in the forest. They blamed him, being that he was a Roscan and burnt. Grom's great adventure began there, though it was not much of an adventure. He would find that in time wearing the hood of the bear from the last Great Hunt would allow him a better communication with humans, elves, and their smaller kinfolk. Grom was unable to bear his face in public for a time comfortably, there was nothing he could do about it, but he could hide it.
Grom began slowly to recall his allegience to a 'dead' god. Dagura. Grom may be the only Roscan alive that actually still follows Dagura, his tribe may have been the last one to. Life became easier when he returned back to his old ways, finding that the forest was far more accomidating than civilization would ever be for him. He fled back to his old ways, leaving the life of the civilized to the civilized.
Several seasons later, an older Grom would arise from the forests in Bifrost. The large Roscan looked around at the icy setting, then to the skies as he sought guidance from Dagura. His skin still burned from that day...
Reason for being on Kvinne: The call of Dagura.
Goals: To discover the call of Dagura, to re-birth the Redskull Roscan tribe, to re-birth Dagura, to finish the "Great Circle" and learn his Nature/Spirit form, Perhaps to become a great crafter of his things, to live a simple life and be a simple Roscan no matter what.
