Slowly Raven ventured into the forest to seek out the disturbance he felt earlier during his flight from Thasunta into the skies above Rashemen, as the strange calm and silence of the forest became apparent to him. Slowly he scanned the surroundings, using his enhanced senses to attempt to detect what was inducing such a strange occurrence when it hit him, an overpowering and burning Ki flooded the small forested grove he stood in. Confused and bewildered by the power he stumbled back a few moments before he steeled himself and slowly became increasingly excited as the realization hit him - this was what Bluecane had promised him a fight that might bring him either death or to reawaken the dark dragon Encelaga within him. Sliding his lead foot into position he stood in his martial art style’s ready stance whilst continuously looking about to try to determine where his opponent would come at him from, his left hand held slightly to his back with the palm cupped. For what felt like hours Raven stood there, the anticipation nearly uncontrollable as sweat became to bead on his forehead while his breathing changed from controlled to a quickened state as the Ki about him strengthened, something was coming and he knew it. Taking this chance Raven begun to channel his own Ki into his cupped hand attempting to conceal it from view but having it prepared for the coming clash, while attempting to remain vigilant for what may come.
As it neared completion, a booming sound is heard repeatedly as footprints burning red with the hungering Ki slowly begun to approach Raven from the distance - taking this as his cue Raven roared as he threw forth the ball of Ki, a Toraken, toward the direction of the footprints while grinning widely. But his grin quickly changed to a more determined look as the Toraken connects against the unseen target masking about them to reveal briefly a Humanoid of great size continuing to walk toward Raven as if completely unaffected by the Toraken. Though as soon as the ball of Ki connected, Raven using his fleetness of foot raced forward to attack, leaping into the air using his strong legs and twisting his body about to bring his left foot about in an aerial roundhouse rich in his body’s Ki though it connects to seemingly no avail against the Humanoid’s forearm, which it brought up to block the kick. Showing no signs of morale loss, Raven landed onto the ground and enters into a roundhouse sweep kick only to have it go through thin air as his unseen opponent dodges without much effort. Angered Raven roars out at him “Show yourself and fight me!” to which he is answered with a snort from the Humanoid as it appears behind him, with his huge arms folded before his chest. Raven answers the appearance of the being with a forward crescent kick but the man easily side-steps the attack, leaving Raven to roll clear and reposition himself. The two begin to stare at one another, awaiting the other to make their move.
The large Humanoid, now fully visible, appeared to Raven as a heavily muscular man of roughly eight foot in height and easily as wide as two full grown men together, his legs were like massive roots of a tree that supported the trunk-like torso of this giant of a man while his arms were like mighty branches ready to strike hard with their hammer like-hands, his thick neck supported a square-jawed head whose hair was red as crimson and held in a warrior’s knot. Wearing a set of red and black aikidogi with the top tied above the obi to reveal a heavily scarred upper body and a matching bandana, with the crest of a single black feathery wing with a droplet shape fire falling from it, upon his head, this marked the Humanoid clearly a practitioner of martial arts. His skin a deep bronze with numerous scars crossing his chest and several on his neck a lighter bronze, though on the left side of the neck leading up to the right check sits a deep red scar, whilst the eyes were two dark orbs with little to no white about them.
The Humanoid says to Raven after a few moments of the stare down, “Are you seriously the one I was promised? You are barely capable of making me block.” Insulted slightly by this Raven stood back up, repositioned himself, and looked over at the being with a grin on his face and shouted over to him, “Really now…I didn’t even know I was trying yet, just wait till I really get started!” and followed this promptly by charging at the man. The Humanoid shifted stances and arched back raising his fist to slam at Raven with an overhead blow but as he was doing so, Raven using his quickness managed to get inside the punch and drag his fingers against the being’s neck. At first nothing seemed to happen but only seconds later as blood pumped through the veins of the neck, slashes appeared and blood sprayed forth though the Humanoid merely snorted before Raven pivots on his foot and connects with an uppercut making the being stumble back a few feet. Landing with a “Heh” Raven rolled out of the way of double roundhouse before being caught off a palm-strike to his back causing him to fly into a tree, cracking its base, with a groan of pain landing on his feet but his face pointed toward the ground. The Humanoid leaps forward performing a kick at Raven, who dodges and counters with a raking, landing a bleeding blow on the foe’s leg though the Humanoid manages to grab Raven’s wrist after the raking by pulling him into a flying knee and throwing him harshly toward the nearby cliff. Raven’s arm goes limp after being slammed into the cliff by the throw, he howls in pain as he attempts to pull it back into its socket but the Humanoid is upon him before he realizes it and is pummeled by a series of elbow and knee blows before being thrown once more though this time into a series of trees. Breaking through the first two and causing the third to root break slightly and lean against him, Raven lets out another painful howls just as the Humanoid again is in his face, Raven lets out an comment, “MORE!” and the Humanoid smirks a little as he lifts up the man and pile drives him against the ground.
Despite the obvious pain he is in, Raven stands up with a sly grin on his face as he slowly holds up his left hand and calls out calmly, “Godhand.” but as the Ki begun to form in his hand, the Humanoid claps his around Raven’s and uses his own form of a Ki release, causing the two to react violently and send the two apart. The Humanoid slides back about fifty-yards with his hand smoking and with a grin on his face, “Perhaps you do have some potential…” whilst Raven’s left arm can be seen going out of socket and him flying back against the base of the cliff with a dull thud as he coughs out blood as result of the impact. “More…” Raven calls out as he struggles to stand, it is apparent by this point he has been fighting a constant battle with himself in his inner-mind, as wings begin to form on his back, a double-thick voice mumbles, “We must flee or we will die here…” but Raven howls in defiance. The Humanoid slowly begins to march toward Raven while the man struggles with himself, the wings form as he begins to cough up more blood, and stumbles from his blurry vision – as he looks about he can see the indentation he made when he was flung into the cliff, he begins to shake his head harshly right and left, “Shut up, shut up! I got this, we can still beat him!” As the wings finish forming Raven leaps into the air and begin to fly but before he can react fully, the Humanoid is above him thanks to a Dimensional Door and does an elbow drop against his back, causing Raven to fall heavily to the ground with a thud. Raven laid in pain on the ground, growling as he struggled to stand before being lifted up by the base of his neck and held in front of the Humanoid’s face.
“I am called Lucied Goani, remember the name, as you learn the lessons of pain,” the man says as he lifts up Raven and flings him again toward the cliff, though he dimensional doors to where he slides down and kicks him up again followed by jumping against the cliff, a tree, and toward Raven with an aerial roundhouse to kick Raven –into- the cliff a small bit. Howling in pain, Raven attempts one last fail-safe by channeling what Ki he has left to muster to do a Ki-Burst, but after a few moments of trying he goes limp and nearly falls out of the indentation. Following this Lucied roars as he pulls a shorten staff from the small of his back and channels his Ki into it, this cause the staff to elongate and he throws it at Raven, piercing his chest with it. Raven spews forth some blood as he starts to come too again, to see Lucied appear before him, kicking the staff through him and into the cliff, anchoring Raven fully. Raven grabs the staff and does one last roar as he struggles to pull it out, though his strength fades quickly as blood begins to pour out of the wound and over the cliff. Lucied fall to the staff and holding onto it with a hand, he looks up at Raven with a grin, “You might be the one, but for now, you must suffer and desire the power to defeat me.” saying this with a smirk before taking off his bandana with his free hand and placing it on the staff and disappearing as Raven blacks out once more.
To any who would find Raven in the forests east of Thasunta:
High upon a cliff facing a damage section of forest rests Raven with a staff through his chest. Blood streaming down over its rocky surface, pooling at the bottom before streaming out into the grass until it is absorbed by the soft forest-ground. His expression is one of pain, fatigue, and suffering – his arms look broken and it seems he is only being held up by the staff within him. If one is able to get closer, they’ll note the staff is fully through him and the only way to get him down is by ripping it out, slamming it in, or breaking it somehow. Upon even closer inspection, one will note the wounds are regenerating mostly save the area around the staff itself as something about it is preventing it from healing (it is due to Lucied’s Ki). The smell of his blood would be noticable for several miles around until the rains hit their hardest.
During the fight flashes fo red and purple would had bee noted, but few people were in Thasunta during it due to the battles with the Thayans still occuring on the coast-line. The howls, roars, and likes could had been heard in Tinnir and Shevel, though again the Thayan battle would likely had deafen it some.
