Theodore didn't always happen to live in an island full of barbarians, giants and other hazards, he comes from the Azurie "masterpiece of Ice" Crystal City.
If there is ever such a thing as a architectural phenomenon, the Crystal City, the Dwarven tunnel that links K'a Khaazk Lara (capital) to its surface gate and the Temple of Nyeonilwal eo Quilwal, are without a doubt the finest and must impressive sights in Fenmyr.
After saying that, Theodore is a Blue Gnome (Azurite) that was born and raised under the schools of Crystal City, he was in the path becoming a merchant, like his father, and his father before him, but he chose (influenced by his fathers own words) to attend several other practices before deciding a definitive future. To this, Theodore after turning adult age joined the BluePicks (BP's).
A BP is a mining squadron that moves out of the safety of the Crystal City walls once a month, and for several tendays they move out on the open desert in gem and ore expeditions, these are incredibly dangerous as the Desert of Ice is famed for being a fatally cold region with some of the biggest monsters in all of Fenmyr to compensate, and it is not uncommon to hear of a miner dying in these expeditions, even though the profits are amazing. Theodore would take 4 expeditions, before giving up after he nearly lost his life in the harsh cold weather.
After this experience, Theodore decided to join the other most prestigious career, a Wizard. The Azurite got affiliated with a famous scholar known as Frimlegone Gharnorius, know more by his title of Frim the Blue(est), and so Theodore began and stayed in contact with Frim even after the Azurite lost some interest with magic.
Frimlegone was a jovial wizard with a down to earth perspective over magic, even though he is one of the oldest Azurite wizards of Crystal City, and one of the most powerful, but Theodore wasn't intimidated by the presence of this overly powerful figure, but yes saw him as a good friend, and with his aid Theodore soon got sucked in the world of Arcane casting, even though 35 years later, he would stop his learning temporarily and focus on inventions and crafting, a skill that he learned when he first started using magic and one that he most loved, inventions and trinkets became important and with a powerful wizard next to him, he disposed of a huge list of resources for his experiments.
After the death of Frimlegone, a mysterious death that was explained by a spell casting mistake from the Wizards part in which his life was the price, Theodore left the Crystal tower of Frim and started off in his own "Workshop of cantrips and trinkets" (as he called it) where he started to gain some coin.
His interest in the shop soon died, as there was too much competition in the Crystal City and without his former masters resources it seemed useless and more boring, therefor, and after reading several books, Theodore became focused in leaving the Crystal City -and- the Desert of Ice, he became focused in exploring the world and so, after a mere 23 years of wondering and pondering, he finally left his home and set off on the first ship to Jampuria, a human settlement.
Unfortunaly, not long away from the coast, the small merchant ship hit a storm and it didn't survive, Theodore was presumed lost and so far no one knows of his whereabouts, he is presumed dead.
But... thats not completely true... Theodore survived the ship wreck and managed to reach the island of Kvinne, where he has been for some time now, starting his adventure away from home.
